So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Good-bye…Adios

By: Andrea | March 23rd, 2009

Today, after mutual consent Efrain Flores left the post of manager of Chivas’ first team. This isn’t the first time, but it may be the last…for now.

It seems like Vergara finally had enough of the cycle that Chivas is going through. Omar Arellano Sr. will take over things for now but names such as Salvador Reyes Jr.(ex Necaxa Manager), Javier Aguirre(Ex. Atleti Man), and Frank Rijkaard(Ex. Barca Man) have been thrown around. All the remaining technical staff will continue.

He’ll remain at the club and will go back to his old job as Director of the Youth Forces for Chivas, Chivas USA, and Saprissa of Costa Rica(all part of Vergara’s Omnilife group).

It was nice to have you as a manager Efrain, all 18 months.
