San Luis Next and Pineda Out

By: Andrea | October 10th, 2008

Gonzalo Pineda Nope. The League in Mexico will not stop for WC qualifying. The teams will just have to play on without their Selecionados. Chivas will play Super Lider San Luis without Omar Arellano, Johnny Magallon, and now Gonzalo Pineda who had to come away from El Tri because of an injury to his left knee for about 3 weeks.

These 3 possible points on Saturday are very important as they can take us to the first places of the group of death and qualify us into the Liguilla.Hopefully they won’t take advantage of our depleted squad. Although, it seems like we’ll hardly miss Arellano after last week. As of now we have a lot of inexperienced youth because the national team boys are out partying playing in Jamaica for WC qualifying. We’ll see if this game goes better than last week where after being 2 up we ended up drawing with the mess lasting a whole 2 minutes.

My prediction: We’ll surprise everyone and win 1-0. Hector Reynoso will make a silly mistake and Ramoncito will come to save us.

Squad: Hugo Hernández, Omar Esparza, Édgar Mejía, Héctor Reynoso, Antonio Olvera, Édgar Solís, Patricio Araujo, Xavier Báez, Ramón Morales, Sergio Santana y Alberto Medina
