New Manager to Heard the Flock

By: Andrea | March 30th, 2009

New Manager
Arellano SR. has been named the new manager of Chivas after Efrain Flores was shoved out the door. Jorge Vergara has said that he will still continue looking for a permanent replacement But for now the father/son duo will be in place. Arellano Sr. will make his debut on Saturday against San Luis, and he has said that his son will have to earn his spot.

“Nothings going to change. Omar has won a place because of what he’s done on the pitch. He’s a professional, he’s grown a lot, and like everyone else, he’ll have to win his place.”

The Arellano family has quite an extensive history with the Club. Raul ‘Pina’ Arellano was there during the Campeonismo era, the Omar Arellano Sr. was a player, and now little Omar Arellano Jr.

Good luck, and hopefully this one goes into the line of successful managers that Vergara has debuted.
