By: Andrea | March 4th, 2009For anyone that’s followed Chivas for the past 2 games today came as a surprise. I know that I wasn’t expecting a super goal blow out, but I wasn’t expecting this either.

Within the first 15 minutes Chivas was doing alright. They attacked a few times and throughout the game that came up a lot. Many attacks, but nothing really came in the end.
However, it was Caracas who ultimately had the better shots and that showed when in the last seconds of the first half they scored of a corner. The whole situation during that play was extremely messy. The ball had gone out, outside the area where some Caracas guy shot. Michel managed to stop the first attempt, but his stopped effort had landed at the feet of Bustamante who didn’t hesitate to put the ball in.
Going into half time must not have been fun. Chivas had been close to keeping level terms during a half that despite all the Caracas chance, had been fairly even.
Coming back out for the second half, it didn’t take long before Caracas got back into the action. They had a good chance in the 47th when they went one on one against Michel but Michel managed to get a hand on it and prevented a second goal.
It didn’t take long until Caracas doubled the score. In the 51st minute a Caracas player shot from a tight angle for the 2-0 score. Michel really had nothing to do about it.
There’s not really nothing else to say. I just hope we improve for the game against Jaguares(Saturday March 7th) because I really liked having the new and improved Chivas. Maybe this was just a little break?
The next game in the Libertadores is once again against Caracas. It’s on March 11 at the Jalisco Stadium.
