Where’s the Real Team?
By: Andrea |Oh jeeze, that game was horrible. I was surprised that Chivas weren’t completely slaughtered. After the 1-1 draw the Chivas players looked content with a point. Alright, a point is a point but Chivas did not deserve that point.
Chivas didn’t have many opportunities and were lucky that more goals weren’t conceded.
Chivas vs Chivas…It’s a win-win situation(for Vergara)
By: Andrea |That’s right. Tonight it was Chivas vs Chivas. Chivas USA, that is.
The ‘ChivaClasico’ took place at the Rose Bowl in front of an outstanding crowd of just over 20,000! Can you believe it? I can’t. Chivas have not been performing so it was surprising that people went to see them play. Nevertheless, the original [...]
Venado Sent Off to Less Green Pastures
By: Andrea |Jorge Vergara was tweeting mad after the loss to Atlante over the weekend. To fix things Vergara is trying to scare the players and has threatened them.
Now, Alberto Medina has been sent to the second division team as a punishment. So far he’s been the only player to be officially sanctioned in public, but [...]
Mauled by Tigres
By: Andrea |Oh jeeze. This was horrible. So horrible that even “Kikin’ Fonseca scored. Do you know how many goals he scored last season? A grand total of 2. That means that he’s halfway to beating his total…by scoring on Chivas. I never thought I’d say it, but we definitely missed Reynoso in the back. And Aaron [...]
Bye, Bye, Bye
By: Andrea |Chivas is out. San Luis is too. The two Mexican teams that advanced to the next round of the Copa Libertadores have removed themselves from the competition after Sao Paulo of Brazil(Chivas’ opponent) and Nacional refused to play in Mexico because of the H1N1 flu.
Several options were given such as playing behind closed [...]
Chivas Legacy Hands First Win To Another Traditional Chivas Family
By: Andrea |Omar Arellano Sr. ages like fine wine. Now National Team Coach, Javier Aguirre, had this man as his assistant at Atletico Madrid in Spain. Vergara then had him come over to be assistant to previous manager Efrain Flores. Now the new manager of Chivas led the team to their first win under this new regime. [...]
Did the time, didn’t take the chances
By: Andrea |What frustrating games these past ones have been. Loss, loss, loss. Ah great. We’re on level points with America. Super.
We’re STILL Unbeaten
By: Andrea |With three of our boys gone(Aaron Galindo, Alberto Medina, Carlos Ochoa) on national team duty we were going to have to make do with what he had left. Alright, so it wasn’t going to be too bad and we thought that we had the game in the bag. After all, around Christmas time we [...]
The End of Copa International Chivas Comex 2009
By: Andrea |In the U-18 category, the tournament has come to a close. The new champions are…Monterrey! The game against the other finalist, Atlas, ended at 1-0 with the game winning goal coming via penalty.
In the third place game between Chivas and Tottenham, the Spurs came out victorious. Again, the game was decided on penalties with [...]
The Owls Were Shot Down During A Family Affair
By: Andrea |Let’s be honest. This wasn’t the most exciting game was it? We were going into it not having beaten Tecos in a long time…I predicted a 3-1 win for Chivas. Several times during the game it could have easily showed that score but incredible misses by Ochoa(and some others but mostly him) left the score [...]
